This document is intended to demystify important geological concepts for the home
schooling audience, amateur rock hounds and petroleum geologists. Here we clearly
explain and discuss the mechanisms by which the earth was and is altered over time. We
outline the rigorous theoretical framework and empirical approach to geology taught at
the Young Earth Geological Institute (YEGI), which is affiliated with the
reDiscovery Institute.
After years of research YEGI researchers established that Earth is composed of three
categories of rock - Sedimentary, Igneous and Metamorphic.
Part I. Origins
Sedimentary rocks. The earth, scoured by rapidly flowing water, decomposes to small
sand-like particles, which can be transported great distances before sedimenting. Once the
small particles settle, they are fused together by bursts of 'fixating rapture'. Most
sedimentary rocks were formed during and immediately after an enormous of aqueous output
with abrupt cessation, known as the Great Flood. This process gave us the stratigraphical
layers we see today, for example, in the Grand Canyon.
Igneous rocks. These are formed by great heat, very early in creation week or in present
day Hell. Volcanoes are direct proof that Hell exists and is a very active place. Liquid
rock, mixed with hellish contaminants, is spewed from hell and then cools, forming igneous
rocks. Igneous rocks are common in places that are hell, or hell like - such as Iceland or
Hawaii.
Metamorphic rocks. Metamorphic rocks were once igneous or sedimentary rocks but were
changed under intense heat and pressure. Where does the heat and pressure come from?
Glory. Metamorphic rocks are Born Again Rocks (BAR). All rocks have been exposed to glory
throughout their existence, but some rocks have been exposed to more glory than others,
which is why they are BAR.
Part II. Divinidynamics
The earth is not static but is undergoing continuous change, and not necessarily for
the better. Erosion, mud slides, earthquakes, fault lines, continental drift and hot
lava were not observed before Eve ate the fruit of the tree of knowledge. Eve
initiated not only pain, death, carnivorous activities, aging, decay, rust and
corrosion but climate, weather and geological processes as well.
Divinidynamics is a branch of science that studies the effects of changes in good and
evil, blasphemy, temptation, redemption and salvation on physical systems at the
macroscopic scale. The starting point for Divinidynamic considerations is the postulate
that Glory can be exchanged between physical systems. The Three Laws of Divinidynamics are
given here.
Three Laws of Divinidynamics
(i) Glory is conserved. Glory cannot be created or destroyed.
(ii) For any spontaneous process, the Glory of the Universe increases.*
(iii) There is no Glory in hot lava.
*The direct and obvious contradiction between the First and Second Laws of
Divinidynamics is a test of faith.
Glory is a state function, and is measured in units of Revelations (SI unit - Gabriel or
Gb). To carry out calculations one needs a reference state from which to calculate
absolute Glory. One reference state is termed "Heaven", and is chosen to be the condition
where each component in a reaction is saved. A second reference state is termed hell, and
is the condition where each component in a reaction is damned.
To effectively determine conditions for equilibrium and for direction of spontaneous
change in the presence of a mixture of components one needs to account for the Glory of
each contributing component. Total glory is obtained from the sum of the glories of the
individual components. Indeed, if one wants to understand the driving force for some
process, geological or otherwise, it is useful to use the Glory Potential (u), which is in
Gabriels per mole of substance. Another descriptor for this quantity is "partial molar
Glory."
A more detailed treatment of Divinidynamics can be purchased for a modest fee from the
reDiscovery Institute. For our purposes here it is sufficient to say that revelation is
broken down into Divine Revelation, Mortal Revelation, and Natural Revelation. Variable
background revelation must to be considered when attempting to control Glory Potential.
Background revelation is discussed below.
Phase Transitions. A Glory Potential of 1-2 Gabriels/mole turns flood sediment into slaty
rock types. Slate can be easily cleaved and made suitable for roofing structures. Noah for
instance, would have died for slaty material to roof the ark, but the revelations came too
late for that. Slaty materials can be obtained readily by a congregation of suitable
mortals provided they generate a sufficient revelatory flux and high partial molar glory
within the target material. Ten people praying intensely and speaking in tongues over a
field of clay in Clayton, Georgia for 22 years produced sufficient slaty rock for a small
pool table of marginal quality. Although a patent is pending, until further technical
developments, this process does not appear to be financially viable in the competitive
pool table production sector.
A Glory Potential of 10 Gabriels/mole can turn flood clays into schists. Schist creation
appears to be just beyond the reach of mortal man even in large groups. A megachurch in
Lexington County, South Carolina initiated a project in 1999 attempting to create a Schist
but thus far have not obtained positive results. Efforts are ongoing. Human production of
schist is an area of active geological research that will not be discussed any further
here.
Gneiss is generally considered the first of the divinely inspired rocks. Gneiss can be
made at a Glory Potential of 100 Gabriels/mole. Divine Revelation is considerably more
efficient for this process than Mortal Revelation. Mica is produced along with Gneiss at
20% yield in a side reaction.
Marbles and quartz are formed by very high Glory Potential, of greater than 1000
Gabriels/mole. Their crystals and speckling can be viewed as individual revelettes.
Hornfels are some of the most knowledgeable rocks we know, with Glory Potential 1000 to
2000 Gabriels/mole.
It has been hypothesized that Cosmic Revelations can produce revelatory flux beyond
laboratory levels. It is theorized that Cosmic Revelations can be focused by intense
graviational fields. However once these revelatory streams hit the fallen earth atmosphere
they scatter, forming small revelations which account somewhat for the background
revelations mortals experience on a daily basis.
When the end of the world comes, the Glory Potential is predicted to peak in the 1,000,000
Gabriels/mole range, world-wide. This high Glory Potential will produce massive expanses
of andalusite surrounded by quartz and marble. Gneisses will form over extensive regions,
along with the rock-that-can't-be-named.
Part III. Geology and the Bible
Geology is a very important theme in the Bible. Rocks and Stones receive ample attention
as both verbs and nouns. Below is a small sampling of things you can learn about Geology
from the Bible.
On the importance of Rock: The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my
rock, in whom I take refuge. Psalm 18:2
More on the importance of Rock: Is there any God besides me? No, there is no other Rock; I
know not one. Isaiah 44:8
On uses of Rock: When he struck the rock, water gushed out, and streams flowed abundantly.
Psalm 78:20
On uses of Stone: If the bull gores a male or female slave, the owner must pay thirty
shekels of silver to the master of the slave, and the bull must be stoned. Exodus 21:32
More on uses of Stone: A man or woman who is a medium or spiritist among you must be put
to death. You are to stone them; their blood will be on their own heads. Leviticus 20:27
On uses of Mud: The man they call Jesus made some mud and put it on my eyes. He told me to
go to Siloam and wash. So I went and washed, and then I could see. John 9:11
On uses of Flint: So Joshua made flint knives and circumcised the Israelites at Gibeath
Haaraloth. Joshua 5:3
On the importance of various metals: Then they burned the whole city and everything in it,
but they put the silver and gold and the articles of bronze and iron into the treasury of
the LORD's house. Joshua 6:24
On Landforms and Oceanography: The waters rose and covered the mountains to a depth of
more than twenty feet. Genesis 7:20
More on Landforms and Oceanography: The waters continued to recede until the tenth month,
and on the first day of the tenth month the tops of the mountains became visible.
Genesis 8:5
On Lava: The mountains melt beneath him and the valleys split apart, like wax before
the fire, like water rushing down a slope. Micah 1:4
More on Lava: And if your eye causes you to sin, gouge it out and throw it away. It is
better for you to enter life with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into the
fire of hell. Matthew 18:9
On Newtonian Physics: He who falls on this stone will be broken to pieces, but he on whom
it falls will be crushed. Matthew 21:44
Part IV. Summary
The processes described here are firmly established by respected methodologies and a
robust Divinidynamics formulism. To test your understanding of Divinidynamics answer the
following question: Why is the top of Mt Everest, 27,000 feet up above sea level, composed
partly of deep-sea limestone, with fossils of extinct bottom-dwelling crinoids? To answer
this and other trick questions the reRiscovery Institute makes available the
well-illustrated book, "These Rocks are Rapture Ready".
